YIP Region 2 has a group that meets in Rochester the 3rd Wednesday of every month at Hillside Children's Center, Drop- In Center, 1337 E. Main St., from 4pm-6pm (meeting and a group that meets in Corning the 2nd Thursday of every month at the Corning Public Library, 300 Nasser Civic Center Plaza, from 4pm-6pm ( dates and place are subject to change). Currently, both groups are working on:
-preparing for the Youth In Progress Speakout to be held Saturday, October 2nd at the Niagara County Community College from 9am-3:30pm -facilitating focus groups in our agencies to hear from youth about their experiences in foster care and reporting to the agency CEO; and -participating in "Getting Solid" youth-led presentations on permanency.
