Voices United is
a group of young people from Region 3 of New York
State’s Office of Children and Family Services
who are or who have been in foster care.
The
goals of Voices United are:
Give
youth in placement opportunities to meet &
share experiences
Serve as the voice of youth in Region 3 to policy
makers, law guardians, caseworkers, childcare
workers, and foster parents to insure that foster
care youth have the opportunities they need to
achieve their full potential
Represent issues of youth in placement in Region
3 on the Statewide Youth Leadership Advisory Team
Voices
United meets once a month to discuss
issues raised by youth in the region and to plan
activities for foster care youth.
